2017 Club Championship – Tournament Rules

Playing Schedule

  1. The 2017 Geelong Chess Club Championship Tournament commenced on Thursday, 1st June, 2017 and was completed on Sunday, 26th November, 2017.
  2. The event was a fifteen-round Round Robin Tournament, with all players competing for the 2017 Club Championship.
  3. Players had 90 minutes to complete all moves, with a 30 second increment per move.
  4. All games were ACF rated.
  5. Clocks started at 7pm on Thursdays.

Postponements

Players can request a postponement if they are unable to attend a round. Please forward postponement requests to:

Please note:

  1. Postponement requests must be submitted no later than 5pm on the Tuesday before the requested round.
  2. The requesting player must make arrangements with their opponent (as listed on the Tournament Page for that round) to re-schedule their match.
  3. Players may accumulate no more than three postponements.
  4. If preferred, postponements may be re-scheduled to after the Championship concludes on 7th September, 2017.
  5. All postponements must be completed by Thursday, 9th November, 2017.
  6. Postponements not completed are forfeited by the requesting player.
