Anyone can sign up for a yearly membership!
Adult Membership: $70 if paid before 1 April
$90 if paid between 1 April and 1 August
$60 if paid after 1 August
Junior Membership: $10 if paid before 1 April
$30 if paid after 1 April
Some benefits of a membership include:
– Lower tournament entry fees
(Normal fee: $10/night adult, $5/night for juniors.
Reduced fee: $5/night for adults, $2/night for juniors.
Note that your first visit to the club is free!)
– Access to the club library (subject to COVID guidelines)
The club has, over the years, accumulated a reasonable number of chess books, which are free for anyone to peruse on Thursday night. Members are allowed to borrow books from said library. (COVID willing, of course!)
– Eligibility to play in the Geelong Chess Club Championship, usually held in October!
You may pay your membership on any club night.
