Daneshvar, Sugrue tie for 2016 Rapid Title

In the final round of the Rapid Play Championship, Reza Daneshvar defeated Michael Sugrue in a must-win game with the black pieces, to share equal first place, despite having missed the first two rounds of play. Likewise, talented junior Jack Smith won through to share equal third with Mio Ristic, having also missed the first two rounds. Full results are listed on the tournament page.
