Mio Ristic put in a stunning performance at the Victorian Country Championship, held at the Geelong Chess Club on last Saturday and Sunday the 15th and 16th.
Although seeded in the lower half of the field of 32, Mio scored 4.5 out of 6 to share second place with former champion Mark Bruere. As well as his share of second prize he collected the top rating prize.

Alistair Anderson was the next best local with 4/6.
